Our purpose is to seek to tackle a central question: what make humans susceptible and resilient to challenges?  To solve this mystery, we focus on the nervous system because it gives rise to our individuality and underlies all of our thoughts and behavior.

The Samuel Lab, led by Dr. Melanie Samuel, is part of the Department of Neuroscience and the Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
